Walking with God along life’s
path
having Him near to me
is better than going my own way
far from where I should be

for my Father knows where I go
He sees it from afar
the journey lasts a whole lifetime
from babe to shining star

my trek of life is never seen
as clearly as the day
that’s why I need my Father’s hand
to lead me all the way
____
if e’er there is a rising doubt
of what I am to do
the Lord is there to govern me
and safely see me through
____
any pitfalls or different path
that hinders how I trod
the angels that are close to me
protect me for our God
____
as the path to glory is fixed
the end result is sure
commitment with obedience reigns
salvation’s grace is pure
____
that’s when heaven then receives me
I’ve reached my journey home
the walk of faith with my Father
shows I’ve ne’er been alone
